What will humans do when robots work?
What is it: It’s an open ideation session, in which collaboration is essential to solve a great social challenge related to technology. A challenge that, sooner or later, humanity will have to face.
In this first edition we want to answer the challenge: What will humans do when robots work?
The latest advances have led to a rethinking of our entire social structure that, although it seems far from our reality, will gradually be reformed perhaps by the intrusion of new life partners: robots. It’s already a reality that machines occupy jobs that move humans aside. That is why we ask ourselves what will happen when the machines know how to do our work and where the talent of the human being will remain.
What happened: To find a solution to this challenge, we wanted to have some guests whose specialities were opposites. An anthropology professor, a science fiction writer, two experts in technological development, two experts in robotics, a craftsman and a lawyer specialized in new technologies gathered together in the stage.
Also an audience with more than a hundred attendees who have managed to generate almost 200 ideas through an app, where the most voted for their appeal and novelty ended up being those used for the second part of the event: work by groups, from where they managed to extract even more ideas from the previous ones, which resulted in a generation of more than 400 post-its full of possible solutions.
The result: Seven different solutions, most of them focused on education and social and political change.
Attendees: This was an event for all audiences, attended by clientes from different companies such as Endesa, IBM, Alsa, Microsoft, Airbus or Ferrovial.
Number of attendees: 150.
